Every cryptocurrency has an eventual finite supply and only so many of each will ever come into existence. Bitcoins supply for example, is capped at 21 million bitcoin. That is all that will ever exist. Currently there are 18,318,637/21,000,000 in circulating supply. That leaves only 2,691,363 left to the mined.
